Internship All students are required to undergo the Internship Program after the second term of the BFI Program. Students need to undergo 3 months Internship at Banking, Finance and Insurance organizations leading to a project report. The Internship Program is meant to bridge the gap between real-life business and academic institutions. It is a simulation of the business environment and enables students to experience the rigors of a business organization. The main objectives include:
Internship Program emphasizes faculty supervision during the project and the evaluation of the students work at the work center with active involvement of the senior management. These efforts have strengthened the close industry relationship at academic centers and have also paved the way for pre-placement offers to the students. A good internship program properly supervised and coordinated will enhance the application skills of the students leading to good final placements. Thus, internship is a stepping stone for getting a final placement with blue chip companies. Internship leads to applying knowledge to work, developing application skills, and gaining practical hands-on work experience. The basic aim is to provide students with the relevant live projects that enable them meet their professional goals, strengthen their knowledge and skills, and establish a network of contacts for exploring future opportunities. The internship program is carefully structured around individual career goals, keeping in mind the skill-sets currently in demand. It is coordinated and supervised by experienced consultants. Students at various centers of INC based on competency levels are encouraged to take up internships at larger cities. This improves their ability to work with the unknown in a highly unstructured and competitive environment. During the internship, the students are inducted, provided the necessary training and then put on to market based assignments as decided by the company. Many of these students have performed well and have earned incentives and letters of appreciation from corporates. INC has successfully enabled, managed and completed internships of more than 9,500 students of its business programs across the country at more than 50 locations over the last 3 years. More than 4,500 students have completed internships in the banking, financial services and insurance sectors with leading corporates including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Pru Life, Bajaj Allianz, HDFC Standard Life, ICICI Direct, Kotak Securities, etc. Table 1 gives the list of some of the companies in the BFI sector where INC students have done their internships. Final Placement INC provides placement assistance to eligible students. INC believes that the entire placement exercise is a joint effort between INC and students. While INC provides guidance and support and network with potential employers, the students have the responsibility to put in the maximum possible efforts to obtain suitable placements. Over the last two seasons of placement, INC has placed many of its students in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sectors. Career Opportunities in Banking, Finance and Insurance Candidates who complete the BFI Program may seek entry-level career opportunities in functions such as sales and marketing, customer care, operations, and other support services in the following areas: Banking

INC Alumni Society INC has established the INC Alumni Society (INCAS). All students are required to seek membership in INCAS. The membership in the alumni body entitles the students to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences and local chapter activities organized by INCAS.
