Since the introduction of economic reforms in 1991, major changes are taking place in the Indian economy as a whole and particularly in the services sector, creating new business opportunities leading to excellent career opportunities as well. The banking and financial services sector including financial markets, mutual funds, life insurance and general insurance are expanding in a big way. The extensive use of information technology in these sectors is creating unprecedented opportunities for market penetration and high quality customer interface. Competition is also hotting up with the entry of several new players, both Indian and international.

In this context, the ICFAI University has designed a unique PG Diploma Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (BFI). The BFI Program is meant for those who are interested in seeking entry level career opportunities in banking, insurance and financial services sector. Consequently the BFI Program provides conceptual inputs with a strong application orientation so that the students acquire basic knowledge and skills required for success in this sectors. The program also integrates the curricula of select national level tests like IRDA certification for Insurance sector(Life and General), AMFI certification for mutual funds and NCFM certification for financial markets.

The INC offers academic support and placement assistance to private candidates interested in pursuing the BFI Program of the ICFAI University. Students are also facilitated to complete the IRDA, AMFI and NCFM Certifications, subject to eligibility norms of these certifications, thereby giving them a competitive advantage in the employment market.

INC maintiains a reputation for quality teaching, a strong application-orientation, internships and placements. Students are also encouraged to acquire on-the-job training during the first two terms and also go though an intensive internship program during the third term. On-the-job training and internship program will give the necessary practical exposure to the student by the time they are ready for placements.

INC has an excellent placement record of bringing 450 corporates from various sectors to the campus for recruitment of students. Close to 11,000 students who graduated from INC, have already been placed with these companies and they are pursuing fast track careers. With this placement experience, INC hopes to achieve good placements for all the students who successfully complete the BFI Program as well.
