A blood donation camp was conducted by INC Shimoga in July 2007. This was conducted in association with the District Health Office. It was well received and Students and staff donated blood.

World Rose Day was observed with a function,  inaugurated by the Shri D.H.Shankar Murhty, Honourable Minister for Higher Education  and with Mr.T V  Narayan Sastry, highly respected industrialist of Shimoga, as the chief guest.

The function was followed by a visit to the terminally ill cancer patients at their homes and to the inpatients of Malnad Hospital & Institute of Oncology (MHIO). The patients were presented with bouquet of roses and fruits. The students spent some time talking to the patients.  This programme was organized along with "SHARANYA"  - a private charitable organization who look after the cancer patients by providing medical, medicinal, nursing, counseling services absolutely free of cost to the patient and their families - and MHIO and ICFAI Rotaract Club. INC has been observing World Rose day since 2005 along with SHARANYA.
